Individual
Therapy
Individual
therapy is conducted with a primary therapist 1-2x/week
for the primary diagnosis while a patient attends the
IOP or Intensive Outpatient Group Program.
Individual therapy may also be recommended for a family
member for support and or education during the course
of an IOP length of stay. This can be a one time session
or ongoing as needs dictate.
Individual
therapy and duration are discussed and agreed on with
the patient and primary therapist.
Individual
therapy topics may include:
- Support
- Education
- Relapse
Prevention
- Return
to Work or School
- Family
Counseling
- Grieving
Group
Therapy
Group
Therapy consists of 2 or more members led by a therapist
for a specific topic.
Examples
are:
- Social
Anxiety Group
- Family
Group
- Education
Group
- Relaxation
Skills
- Stress
Management
Groups
may meet 1x/week or every 2 weeks based on needs.
