Brooke Kraushaar, PsyD
Dr. Kraushaar is a licensed psychologist for the Forensic Evaluation Division and a staff therapist at the Anxiety Disorders Center. She received a master's degree in forensic psychology from the John Jay College of Criminal Justice, and earned her doctoral degree in psychology from the University of Denver. She completed her pre-doctoral fellowship at Yale Medical School. Dr. Kraushaar’s expertise as a forensic psychologist is primarily in the criminal domain, and her services are used by both prosecuting and defense attorneys. She is frequently called upon to perform forensic psychological evaluations when they relate to competency to proceed, criminal responsibility, diminished capacity, Miranda waiver, false confession, and mitigating factors at the time of sentencing. In addition to doing forensic work, Dr. Kraushaar maintains a full clinical practice specializing in the treatment of anxiety disorders.
