CARMELITA
D. DAVIS, MA, LPC, NCC, DAPA, received her Masters Degree
in Counseling Education from St. Louis University in
1992. She works with individuals, couples, children
and families to address family issues, behavior problems,
coping with stress, depression, chemical dependency,
domestic violence, and employment issues. She also has
experience with clients who have panic and anxiety disorders.
She has provided substance abuse aftercare, intervention,
and assessment. Her clinical experience includes ten
years working with adolescents and their families as
well as seven years in an EAP setting. Other treatment
settings have included residential treatment centers,
in-patient and outpatient hospital settings for mental
health and chemical dependency treatment. Unique expertise
includes facilitating multi-family group therapy with
emphasis on family systems and dynamics with regard
to child and adolescent behavior. She is fluent in the Spanish
language and can conduct counseling sessions in Spanish.
She is available to conduct consultations, inservices
and workshops for schools and professional groups. She
is a National Board Certified Counselor, a Diplomat
of the American Psychotherapy Association, and a member
of the American Counseling Association and of the Association
of Counselors in Group.
