Joan R. Butcher, M.D. is Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She is the psychiatric consultant of the Eating Disorders Program and a clinical instructor at Washington University Department of Psychiatry. She earned her medical degree at Brown University and completed an Internal Medicine internship at Brown followed by her Psychiatry residency at Barnes Hospital/Washington University Department of Psychiatry. Dr. Butcher can treat a broad range of co-morbid psychiatric conditions found in patients with eating disorders including affective disorders, anxiety disorders, and post-traumatic stress disorder. Dr. Butcher works with children, adolescents and adults.
