Deb Schettler, RD, LD
received her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and
Dietetics from Missouri State University, and completed
her Generalist Dietetic Internship through St. Louis
University. She is a registered dietitian with the
American Dietetic Association and is licensed in the
State of Missouri. She is a member of several national
dietetic practice groups which include SCAN (Sports,
Cardiovascular, and Nutrition), Weight Management, and
Nutrition in Complementary Care. She is certified in
Adult Weight Management through the American Dietetic
Association, and is a Certified Wellness Coach through
Wellcoaches. She has over 20 years of dietetic
experience ranging from pediatrics to gastroenterology.
She is a certified LEAP (Lifestyle, Eating, and
Performance) therapist trained in immunology and food
hypersensitivities. Each week, she teaches Heart Healthy
Nutrition in Cardiac Rehabilitation and provides
wellness coaching for those who need to restore health.
She has presented on a variety of topics locally and
statewide which include: weight management, eating
disorders, health and wellness. She serves on the
Quality Learning Environment Committee at a local school
to promote Wellness. This includes the implementation of
nutrition curriculum. In general, as a nutrition
therapist, her goals for clients are to establish a
healthy eating pattern, to develop a positive
relationship with food, and to achieve (or maintain) a
healthy weight. She individually assesses nutritional
needs, educates in basic nutrition, arranges individual
meal plans (when appropriate), and sets behavior goals.
