Chronic Pelvic Pain
Chronic Pelvic Pain (CPP) is any pelvic pain that lasts more than six months; it is one of the most common medical problems diagnosed in women today. One in seven American women between the ages of 18 and 50 is living with this problem; 10% of outpatient GYN visits involve the diagnosis or treatment of this disease. Generally, little tissue damage is evident, but conventional treatment produces poor results. The problem can gradually affect the woman's emotional well-being, her physical activities, her work, her family and other social relationships.
SLBMI practitioners know that successful treatment must address all physical, behavioral, emotional and psychological elements. Our Physical Therapists can do internal muscle/tissue work, as well as pelvic and posturespine correction, which are vital to improving this condition.
