SLBMI Psychology and Religion Program>> Welcome

The Program for Psychology and Religion serves the psychological, medical and spiritual needs of clergy and religious from many parts of the world. For more than a decade, the Program has offered effective systems of evaluating candidates and suggesting directions for the psychological and social aspects of their formation.

The Program for Psychology and Religion is a program of integrated health care. We evaluate and treat each individual on multiple levels—physical, psychological, social, and spiritual. Specialists from each area work together to provide the best possible care. We believe this integrated approach is the most powerful approach to health care available today.

The Program for Psychology and Religion offers outpatient treatment. Although treatment as an outpatient is not possible for some persons, it is clearly an option, and perhaps optimal, for most. Outpatient treatment is remarkably less costly than either inpatient or residential care.

The Program for Psychology and Religion is not a single treatment program applied equally to all. The discerning consumer will find that, contrary to most outpatient centers, the Program is a collection of persons, materials and treatment options that can be combined in various ways to meet the particular needs of each individual. The design of individual programs begins with careful assessment.

The Program has six established divisions:

  1. Evaluation Program
  2. Intensive Outpatient Program
  3. Individualized Programs
  4. Aftercare Program
  5. Weight Management Program
  6. Program for People of Faith

Program Philosophy

“Every person that enters our program is suffering in some way. We have seen the impact of this on relationships, communities, and society. The Program for Psychology and Religion is committed to providing quality care in a framework of integration and healing for not only the betterment of each individual but also the larger community.”
