Emotional Aspects of Weight Management
On June 25 from 6-8 pm, Ronni Kahn, PhD will explore emotional factors that may be getting in the way of weight loss and/or maintenance of weight loss. Exploring Your Identity through Writing
Cathy Lander-Goldberg, MSW, LCSW will lead a workshop that allows participants to work on writing assignments for self discovery and learn to use journaling as a tool to continue to develop their relationships with themselves and others. Integrated Care Team to Speak at APA
A team of psychologists (Drs. Margolis, Niemiec, and
Pollard) from SLBMI will be presenting their work on integrated primary care at the annual meeting of the American Psychological Association in Boston, MA. The meeting will be held August 14-17, 2008.

Presentation at the OCF meeting
Dr. Pollard will be speaking on treatment of refractory OCD at the annual meeting of the Obsessive Compulsive Foundation in Boston, MA. The meeting will be held July 31-August 3, 2008.

Dr. Pollard will be conducting a workshop on advances in the treatment of anxiety disorders for psychotherapists in the Columbus, OH area on June 19, 2008. The workshop is sponsored by the Mental Health Association.

Dr. Pollard will be conducting 2 workshops for psychotherapists in north-central Wisconsin. the workshops will cover treatment of childhood anxiety and management of treatment resistance in anxious adults. Integrated Care in St. Louis Continues!
The integrated care project, developed by Drs. Margolis, Pollard, and Niemiec, will continue through August 2008. Through funding by the Sidney R. Baer, Jr. Foundation, this 3-year grant has been extended to a 4th year. Drs. Niemiec and Aatre are available as behavioral health consultants to any patient that meets with one of the primary care physicians of SLUCare at the Primary Care & Prevention Center.
