Emotional Aspects of Weight Management
On June 25 from 6-8 pm, Ronni Kahn, PhD will

Exploring Your Identity through Writing
Cathy Lander-Goldberg, MSW, LCSW will lead a workshop that allows participants to work on writing assignments for self discovery and learn to use journaling as a tool to continue to develop their relationships with themselves and others. A team of psychologists (Drs. Margolis, Niemiec, and
Pollard) from SLBMI will be presenting their work on integrated primary care at the annual meeting of the American Psychological Association in Boston, MA. The meeting will be held August 14-17, 2008.

Presentation at the OCF meeting
Dr. Pollard will be speaking on treatment of refractory OCD at the annual meeting of the Obsessive Compulsive Foundation in Boston, MA. The meeting will be held July 31-August 3, 2008.

Workshop in Ohio
Dr. Pollard will be conducting a workshop on advances in the treatment of anxiety disorders for psychotherapists in the Columbus, OH area on June 19, 2008. The workshop is sponsored by the Mental Health Association.

Art Exhibit onEating Disordersart exhibit
St. Louis Behavioral MedicineInstitute’s Eating Disorder Program presented the exhibition: "Expressions of EatingDisorders" with an opening reception from noon to 12:30 p.m. on February 18, 2008, at the College Center on the St. Charles Community College campus located at 4601 Mid Rivers Mall Dr. It ran through noon on February 22, 2008. The Center is open daily from 6:30 a.m. until 10 p.m.

This display contained works from art therapy and writing therapy sessions of patients in the Eating Disorders Program. These images and words convey the reality of living with an eating disorder as well as the hope for recovery.

Cathy Lander-Goldberg, MSW, LCSW, a psychotherapist specializing in expressive therapy and eating disorders, was on hand at the opening to answer questions on eating disorders, body image and expressive therapies. The segment is entitled Life...revised, Because Life Is A Series of Revisions. (www.LIFEREVISED.COM). Martha Vatterott will speak regarding making lifestyle changes after the holidays and what folks need to get started and stay on the plan. She will also mention how many will need the help of a behavior therapist to accomplish this, as well as a Registered Dietitian. The broadcast will air January 19 on KFUO 850 AM at 9:30 am and 8:30 pm, and also on XM satellite at 11:30 AM on the 19th.
