Women’s Reproductive Mental Health Psychiatry Services is an all encompassing program for women. This includes the treatment of mood and anxiety disorders for women with reproductive mental health issues which may include prescribing medication. We have a unique approach to treatment. We listen to you first and then build a treatment plan around your needs.
Melanie McKean, D.O., Ph.D., is the Medical Director of the Women’s Reproductive Mental Health Psychiatry Services Program, and a psychiatrist at Saint Louis Behavioral Medicine Institute. She has extensive clinical experience and expertise in women’s mental health. Her areas of interest include preconceptual counseling, mood and anxiety disorders in pregnancy and the postpartum period, female sexual dysfunction, pelvic pain, and infertility. She provides medication management before, during and after pregnancy.
